It is almost June which means that the summer season is within a hand’s reach. It is time to think about which your travel destination will be for the summer. Santorini, Greece

If you are looking for a place where to escape from big cities, traffic jams, a lot of people and a lot of noise, then you should go to Santorini. This is one of Greece’s most popular summer destinations. You can find a sweet escape there.

First of all, all the houses, hotels, restaurants, and tavernas look like as if they are taken out from a fairytale. They are all in light colors, most of which are in white and blue – the two traditional Greek colors.

You can taste some of the best Greek specialties. And you can spend your days at the beach, swimming in the crystal clear water, and enjoying the hot summer sun. There are a lot of things you can do there when it comes to relaxation.

California coast

If you still have not visited California, then this summer you could take advantage of the opportunity and visit the coast. There are some amazing beaches with golden sand. If you are a keen surfer, this place would also be perfect for you to spend some time surfing. And let’s just do not talk about the amazing views you are about to see.

There are also some places to go if you want to see whales in their natural habitat. One of them is Santa Cruz where you can see humpback whales and even some blue whales. So, if you love the marine world, you know where to go.

Nepal

Nepal is a small Asian country, but this does not mean that it does not have a lot of things to offer to its guests. In fact, it is home to one of the greatest sights in the worlds – the world’s highest mountain top Everest. If you are not a keen mountaineer, you could still enjoy Nepal.

You could, for example, go elephant riding. Elephants are a symbol of a lot of Asian countries, and are also very significant for Nepal and elephants are treated there with great respect.

Chitwan National Park offers its guest the opportunity to communicate with these animals and not only this, but you could even become a volunteer there and help with the elephant care.

Brač Island, Croatia

You may think that Croatia would not be the first place you would go to for your summer vacation because it is not as famous summer destination as some of the others in the list. However, this does not mean that it is not a breathtaking place, especially Brač Island. You can taste a little of the Mediterranean spirit there.

If you are into more extreme kinds of adventures, you can go on a boat ride, and if not, you could spend your vacation lying on the beach or at a cafe under some palm shade. The island is on the coast of the Adriatic sea which is famous for its saturated blue color. And let’s just do not mention how clear the water water is.

Istanbul, Turkey

This is one of the biggest European cities which has so much to offer to its guests that your summer holiday would not be enough for you to discover the whole of it. The city is located right on the boarder between Europe and Asia, which means that half of the city is located on Europe and the other on Asia. The historic and cultural diversity is so big that you should be careful not to experience a cultural shock. Make sure you also try the local food, especially the sweet ones – Turkish delight and baklava.

Scotland

Some people are not big fans of summer heats and they want to go to a place that would not be that hot. Scotland is a perfect one for this task. Some people even complain that there is too much rain in the summer and that it is a little too cool for them. When it comes to nature, you can be sure that you will find a lot of things to amaze you.

There are a lot of gardens, parks, and national parks you can go to if you want to be close to nature. Do not forget to visit some of the iconic Scottish islands which attract tourists from all over the world. There are even some free attractions, so if you want to save some money, you could visit only them.
