Nowadays people lead quite busy lives. They are often in a hurry and need to concentrate fast in order to get through their tasks. And sometimes this is not an easy task, especially if you have a lot of work to do and you are not at all in a mood of doing any work.

So, how to find a way to become more productive and not to do this once but to become more productive and organized in general. The greatest thing about it is that this way you will be able to finish your work faster and enjoy some free time.

So, here is a list of things you should start doing if you want to become more productive and more concentrated as a whole.

#1 Do the dishes right after you have your meal

The first of the things in the list may sound a bit strange to you and somewhat insignificant, but in fact it will really help you become more organized. You need to do the dishes right after you have your meal. It is very important not to let them pile up in the sink. The more you postpone the unpleasant things that you need to do, the more you will continue to put off things.

You need to make sure you begin doing the dishes right after you are ready with your meal. At first you surely will not have the desire to do it but with time it will turn into a habit of yours. The more such habits you have, the more organized you will become.

#2 Focus on one thing for a long time

We all know that the more work people have, the more they try to concentrate on every one of the tasks. This, however, is not a good way to deal with your job because instead of concentrating on the tasks and being able to finish with your work faster, you get more distracted and this slows down the process.

That is why you need to concentrate only on one of your tasks and once you have finished with it to start doing the next one. This way you will be able to concentrate better and to finish your work faster.

#3 Write down a list of your tasks for the week

Another thing which you need to start doing if you want to become more organized and to turn this into a trait of yours is to write down the things you have to do. You may start with listing all the things you need to do for the week and with time to make some long-term schedules.

This way you will not forget that you have some upcoming event or some important meeting. All you need to do is to take a look at your list of tasks. That is why it is also good to put it somewhere close where you can see the list all the time when you are at work. Put is on your desk, for example.

#4 Keep your desk clean all the time

The more things you keep on your desk and the more your desk is in a mess, the less concentrated and organized you will be. Some people have way too many things on their desks. And in this number it is not only included the number of documents one has on their desk, but also the small thins, like souvenirs, postcards and so on.

All these small things on one’s desk can make it harder for you to find some document you are searching for and could distract you easily from your work. And let’s just not mention how annoyed you may become when you are trying to find something but you are not able to. That is why it is best to keep your desk, both at work and at home, in order.

#5 Learn to say “no”

There are some people who are so kind that they would not want to refuse anything to their colleagues or friends. And even if they are very busy and do not have time to do the things they have been asked to do, they still do not refuse. This is surely one thing that you need to consider changing.

Which means that you need to stop accepting every offer or request especially when you do not have time to do it. That is why you need to start refusing and to say “no” more often.
