If you follow any kind of beauty vlogger, blogger, or makeup artist on Instagram, then chances are pretty good that you’ve seen a fair share of cut crease eye makeup photos. If you are not familiar with it already, the cut crease makeup is basically drawing a line in the crease of your eye to emphasize that separation. When done correctly, the allure of a cut crease is that it makes your eyelids look bigger. It lifts the eyes, making them appear more open and larger. If you are interested in doing the trendy cut crease makeup eyes, then you have come to the right place! This tutorial will show you all the steps to mastering this gorgeous look in just a few minutes.
Before applying any makeup on, choose the right shade of primer for your skin type and apply it to your eyelid. Even though you want the primer to cover your eyelid completely, your best bet is to use a very small amount of it and gently dab it on your eyelid with a foundation brush. Wait a couple of minutes until the primer absorbs. Makeup primer softens the skin, seals the pores, and prepares the skin for the makeup application.
Step 1: With the help of a small makeup brush and black shadow, draw a thick line along your cut crease from the inner towards the outer corner of the lid.
Step 2: Start applying your favourite highlighter across your eyelid just below the crease line. Don’t apply too much, just enough that gives you a clean base to work on.
Step 3: Take the same brush you used in step one and apply another line across your upper lash line. Make sure you apply the colour as closely to your lashes as possible.
Step 4: Apply your false eyelashes.
Step 5: With the same makeup brush dipped in black shadow, apply strokes underneath your waterline to mimic false eyelashes.
Step 6: As a final touch, add several coats of your long-lasting mascara as this will help you wrap up the final look. Layer waterproof mascara on top of your regular formula to make your mascara last longer!
