The Perfect Cat Eye Look For Blue Eyes

Let’s face it, not everyone is blessed with a pair of Barbie’s blue eyes. In fact, having blue-coloured eyes is considered a recessive trait. Nowadays between Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube we have access to makeup and beauty tips galore, and it’s getting to the point where we almost have too much information coming at us. You don’t need to spend hours in searching for the perfect cat eye look for blue eyes. This is what the tutorial is all about – the 6 top steps to the ever sexy smoky eye look!

The art of a smoky eye is in layering and blending the shadows. Any colour can be used to create a smoky eye. You will need at least three shades in similar hues, to create a smooth gradient of colour.

Use black eye pencil to define your waterline. Grab your black liquid eyeliner and apply it above your upper lash line, creating beautiful wing at the end. Place your pinkie finger against your cheek to ensure additional stability and control.

Take a fluffy brush and distribute grey or velvet shadow to the crease line. Add light shadow to the brow bone to highlight it.

Use another, slightly bigger brush to add dark brown eyeshadow to the outer corner of the lid. Apply the colour in such a way that resembles a flicked eyeliner look.

Gently blend the lines by moving the brush back and forth.

Now, take the bronze shadow, apply it to the centre of the lid and blend it through the crease using your fluffy brush.

Blend back and forth with the brush, or in tiny little circles, so the shadow looks more diffused.

One thing you need to remember after applying eyeliner is to curl your eyelashes for a fabulous makeup finish. Apply 2 to 3 coats of black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes. Make sure to always clean up any excess eyeshadow dust that ends up under your eyes. The point of a smoky eye is to look sexy not sickly!
