The outer V eye makeup can take your makeup game to another level. It can either make it or break it when it comes to eye makeup, really. Things can go horribly wrong if you don’t know what to do. If you try and attempt things that you aren’t too sure of, you might have yourself ready for a Halloween party, rather than for work or some fancy event. Worry not!
One of the basic eyeshadow techniques that all makeup fans should know is how to create dimension and depth by defining an area of your eye known as the outer “V”. This refers to the area between your lash line and crease. The hardest part about getting this right is that everyone has different eye shapes, but with our tips and tricks and a little patience you’ll be rocking this look in no time. We have devised a foolproof guide in order to perfect outer V ye makeup, so let’s dive right in!
Step 1: After applying an eyelid primer to help keep your shadow in place all day, start by applying a nude matte base shadow all over your lid – one as close to your own skin tone as possible.
Step 2: Use your black eye pencil to draw the outer V following the end of your brow.
Step 3: Start filling the outer V using the same black pencil.
Step 4: Next, apply a slightly darker light brown or gold shimmer shadow across your whole lid.
Step 5: Now blend it out at the edges so you have no harsh lines.
Step 6: Apply shimmery or gold glitter to the inner corner of the lid. Using a shimmery shadow here will help bring light to your eyes and will make your eyeshadow look more 3-dimensional.
Step 7: Place your favourite false eyelashes and let the glue to dry naturally.
Step 8: It’s time for the finishing touches. Apply your favourite volumizing mascara, and you’re good to go!
