Valentine’s Day Popcorn

A lot of couples go to the movies for the holiday, while other prefer to stay at home and watch a movie. Watching movies has often been combined with eating popcorns, so why do not you do use this as inspiration and make some sweet Valentine’s Day popcorns? Here is our suggestion for Valentine’s Day popcorns recipe.

10 cups of popcorns, already popped
3 tablespoons of butter; if you want you can use sweet cream, but only salted
3 cups of marshmallows, it is preferably to be mini ones
Vanilla (optional)
The rest of the ingredients depend on you and your taste. You can use all kinds of mini chocolates, gummy bears and candies. Make sure you add something like confetti heart sprinkles to make the popcorns even more romantic.

Step 1

Put all 10 cups of popcorns in a big bowl. Make sure that you remove all the un-popped kernels, because they will definitely ruin the sweet taste of the Valentine’s Day popcorns.

Step 2

Now it is time to make the marshmallow mixture. Get a sauce pan and melt in it the butter. When you are sure it is completely melted, put the marshmallows in it and start stirring. When they melt you will have a thick mixture. Remove it from the heat and add the vanilla extract by stirring as well.

Step 3

Then you need to pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorns. You need to do this gently by trying to cover as many popcorns as you can. You can also mix them a little if needed. If you think that the mixture is too much for the popcorns you do not need to add the whole of it, but it is preferably to do it, because this step is connected to the next one.

Step 4

Now add the different types of mini chocolates and candies to the popcorns. The marshmallow mixture will make them stick to popcorns. Leave it for some time aside to cool down and to make sure the candies stick well to the popcorns. And your Valentine’s Day popcorns are ready.

Here is another recipe, easy to do and very delicious – Krispy Cupcakes.

1 bag of marshmallows (10 oz)
5 cups of rice cereal
4 tablespoons of butter
½ cup of dry strawberry cake mix

For the Vanilla Icing:

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup butter
2 cups of powdered sugar
1-2 teaspoons of water
¼ cup shortening
candy hearts (to put on top)

Get a large pot and melt in it the butter. Then add the marshmallows to the butter and stir well until melted. And finally, before you remove the pan from the heat, stir the cake mix.

Once you remove it from the heat, stir the rice cereal into the mixture and gently mix everything together.

Get a cupcake pan and grease it a little. Then get a spoonful of the rice cereal mixture and make a small bowl of it, so that it fit into the pan cupcake shape. It should not stick above the pan. Then make all the mixture into cupcakes. When this is ready leave aside to cool.

Now make the icing by mixing first the butter and shortening well, then by adding the powdered sugar and mixing well. Finally add the vanilla extract and the water and mix until smooth.

Spread evenly the icing on the cupcakes and put a gummy heart on top.
