Eyeliners are a classy way to define and give shape to your eyes. When it comes to lining your eyes, there is a host of products that can help you do so. There are different kinds of eyeliners available on the market today. You can choose from regular pencil eyeliner to pen eyeliner to gel eyeliner, and in some cases, some kohl pencils also do a great job of working as eyeliner. It’s important to know the proper way to apply eyeliner so it enhances your eyes and doesn’t look thick and messy. This tutorial will show you how to create a subtle eyeliner flick using mainly a pencil. Pencil eyeliners come in a broad range of colours from electric blue and emerald green to traditional colours like black and brown. For this particular tutorial, we have chosen the purple pencil to make the makeup look more elegant and interesting. Now let’s get started!
Step 1: To guarantee a clean application, sharpen your eye pencil every time you use it. Then, outline your upper lash line using the pencil. Make sure you apply the product as close to the lash line as possible. If you don’t get a line properly along the lash line, don’t worry, as you can always fill in the gap afterward. Tracing a proper line is important.
Step 2: Use a q-tip to smudge the line and create a subtle wing at the end. Flick the wing towards the end of your brow for a more natural look.
Step 3: Reapply and use the q-tip again. This would make the eyeliner colour more intense.
Step 4: Clean up any imperfections using a q-tip dipped in makeup removal.
Step 5: Use your fingertip to apply just a small amount of shimmer to the inner corner of your lid.
Step 6: Apply purple mascara. Applying a coat of mascara to your eyes will highlight your eyeliner and enhance your eyes even further.
Step 7: If necessary, add a second coat of your favourite purple mascara and your subtle eyeliner flick is complete!
