This tutorial will show you how to make the outer V makeup look by adding colourful eyeshadows for the perfect festival makeup look! One of the basic eyeshadow techniques that all makeup fans should know is how to create dimension and depth by defining an area of your eye known as the outer “V”. This refers to the area between your lash line and crease. The hardest part about getting this right is that everyone has different eye shapes, but with our tips and tricks and a little patience you’ll be rocking this look in no time. We have devised a foolproof guide in order to perfect outer V ye makeup, so let’s dive right in!

Step 1: After applying an eyelid primer to help keep your shadow in place all day, start by applying a nude matte base shadow all over your lid – one as close to your own skin tone as possible. Use your purple eye pencil to draw the outer V following the end of your brow.

Step 2: Gently blend the pencil outwards with a small makeup brush.

Step 3: Add purple eyeshadow to the crease line to add dimension to your eyes. Remember that it is easier to add more shadow than to take it away. Start with less than you think you might need. You can always apply more.

Step 4: Use a small makeup brush to fill in your lid with light blue shadow. Apply shimmery or white glitter to the inner corner of the lid. Using a shimmery shadow here will help bring light to your eyes and will make your eyeshadow look more 3-dimensional.

Step 5: Apply your eyeliner and false eyelashes. It’s time for the finishing touches. Apply your favourite volumizing mascara, and you’re good to go! Enjoy the festival and don’t forget to take lots of pictures!
