This country can really show you a lot of history, culture, and amazing beaches where you can relax. Today we have decided to take you there on a trip and show you some of the great places you can visit there.
#1 Mexico City
The first place in our list is the capital of Mexico, Mexico City. If you decide to visit Mexico, you should definitely not miss to visit the capital. This way you will learn a lot about the country itself. It is a really big city with population over 21 million people.
Since it was a former colony, the heritage left from these years is a big one and consists of a lot of beautiful old buildings. If you go there you should not miss to visit Plaza Garibaldi where you can see a lot of mariachi.
Mariachis are music performers of traditional Mexican songs. Having a mariachi band under your window, you can consider yourself a lucky lady who is being sung a serenade. And while you are in Mexico city, you should not miss to visit the former studios of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
However, you need to remember that all the crowded places you visit are a thread to your belongings. In other words, crime in the country is a big problem and tourists need to be aware of that. That is why you need to keep an eye on your personal belongings all the time. And try not to wear any valuable jewelry and make sure you avoid crowded places.
The next place which you should definitely consider visiting if you go to Mexico is Merida. This is another place which has a lot of history. The place is best to be visited at weekends because the most iconic places in the town, like the central square, are closed for vehicles. This is when you can get a perfect view of the place and enjoy a nice walk around like a real tourist.
You should visit the cathedral from the 17th century. What is more interesting about it is the fact that it has been built with Mayan bricks. You can buy some home-made food and some really nice souvenirs from the street stalls there to remind you of the time spent in Mexico.
#3 Playa del Carmen
And since the first two places in our list are all about history and culture of the country, it is time to add another place which is all about a relaxing time spent in Mexico. The first such one in our list is Playa del Carmen. This resort is a great one to visit because pedestrians are much more welcomed than vehicles.
The beaches consist of crystal clear water and golden sands where relaxation is complete. There, of course, are a lot of night clubs and bars you can go to and have a dance. You can really have a great time there if you like such kinds of summer resorts.
Acapulco is probably Mexico’s most famous summer resort and this is not something accidental. Acapulco has great beaches with crystal clear water but this is not the only thing it can offer. The resort is located on the coast in an amphitheater-way which makes the view from the place even more stunning.
What you can also do there, apart from spending time at the beach, is enjoy the nightlife with its dozens of night clubs and bars. You can also try some activities that will set your pulse racing, like bungee jumping and parachuting.
#5 Todos Santos
The next location in the list is Todos Santos. And it is a place which can appeal to people who love the beach and to those who love learning about the culture and traditions of the place. Todos Santos is an artists’ community which is also perfect for surfing. The waves breaking there are big ones which makes it a top destination among surfers.
When it comes to history, the town was found as a mission in the 18th century. There are some old buildings, like the ones in Todos Santos Complex, which can take you back in time and make you feel as if you are visiting the place centuries ago. And since the town is an artist community, you can see a lot of handicraft shops and galleries.
