If you are going to a club tonight, then there is no other option more suitable than the classic smoky eye look – intense, vibrant, classy and fabulous. That’s why almost every page of today’s magazines has a picture of a beautiful model or a celebrity sporting (what else?) – the smoky eye look!
Do your eye makeup first before applying foundation to the rest of the face. This will allow you to remove any unwanted shadow which may have flaked onto the area underneath your eyes, avoiding a lot of frustration.
Step 1: Pack on black eyeshadow all over your eyelid towards the crease.
Step 2: Blend out the eyeshadow, so there aren’t any harsh lines. If you feel that it needs more intensity you can pack on more colour.
Step 3: Add a bronze eyeshadow above the crease line, gently blending it with your fluffy brush.
Step 4: To highlight your brow bone, use a soft white or cream colour directly under the eyebrow along the arch.
Step 5: Then, grab your waterproof eye pencil and outline your waterline. To do this, gently run your pencil near the base of your lower eyelashes several times starting from the outer corner and finishing it all the way to the inner corner.
Step 6: Set the pencil by applying black shadow on your lower lash line.
Step 7: Now it’s time to practice your blending skills! Take your favourite smudging brush and start smoothing the black colour.
Step 8: If you want to further highlight this sexy black makeup, consider using false eyelashes. To apply them correctly, place the strip on your eyelid, positioning it as close as possible to your natural lashes. Allow the glue to dry naturally. Apply 2 to 3 coats of black mascara on both your top and bottom lashes. This will help achieve more natural, glamorous look by blending your natural lashes with the false ones.
