How to Use Essential Oil Aromatherapy as Health Remedies

 

There are more and more people who turn to aromatherapy when they are feeling tired or stressed because they know it can help with diminishing their discomfort. That is often why they have an essential oil massage to help them in this task.

However, a lot of people do not know that essential oil aromatherapy is not only capable of relieving stress. It can also help with other physical indispositions. Top Remedies with Essential Oil Blends:

#1 Good night and healthy sleep

There are some people who complain about not being able to sleep, or about having bad dreams at night. If you also suffer from this, you could try this essential oil remedy. Mix 1/3 of an ounce of olive oil or almond oil with 7 drops of roman chamomile essence and 5 drops of lavender essence and apply the mixture on your temples, on your hands, and behind your ears before going to bed. The mixture of the scents will help you relax and have a better sleep. Repeat the procedure for at least a few more days.

#2 Remedy for sore muscles

If you have strained your muscles, or if you are going through some other muscles problems, they you could relief your pain with this essential oil blend. You will also need 1/3 of ounce of olive oil or almond oil, but this time you have to mix it with 2 drops of ginger, 1 drop of black pepper, 4 drops of peppermint, 5 drops of eucalyptus.

Mix the oils well and apply them on this part of your body where your muscles hurt. And also do not forget to apply it on the bottom of your feet and your wrists. You can do this twice a day – in the morning and before going to bed. Surely this blend will not heal you, but it will at least help by reducing the pain.

#3 Remedy for stress

The next essential oil blend works as a remedy for stress. There are three kinds of essential oils that are best at reducing stress, especially if you mix them together. These are lavender, lemon, and Clary sage. Mix 4 drops of lavender essential oil, 2 drops of lemon oil, 4 drops of Clary sage, and 1/3 of an ounce of almond oil.

Mix them all well together. If you mix them in a container with a lid, you may even shake the substance for a better blend. Then apply it on your hand and specifically on your wrists, behind your ears, and on any other part of your body that will feel good for you.

#4 Wake-up blend

Here is some good news for all of you sleepyheads: you may use some essential oil mixture that will help you wake up faster. You will need the regular 1/3 of an ounce of almond oil, 4 drops of peppermint essence, 4 drops of lemon essence, and 2 drops of frankincense oil. Mix them all well and apply the blend when you wake up in the morning behind your ears and on your hands. This will help you feel fresher and more energized throughout the day.

#5 Concentration improvement blend

The next essential oil blend will help those of you who do not concentrate easily. You will need to mix 6 drops of rosemary oil, with 4 drops of lemon essence, 2 drops of peppermint essence and 1/3 of an ounce of olive oil, or almond oil. Make sure they are nicely mixed before you apply them on your body.

#6 Fight winter blues

The next essential oil blend is for those of you who feel depressed in the winter season. This mixture will improve your mood and will make you feel better and happier. Mix 8 drops of orange essence with 2 drops of Ylang Ylang well. Then add 1/3 of almond oil into the mixture and again mix nicely. Apply the blend on your neck, your hands, on your temples, and behind your ears.

#7 Aphrodisiac blend

If you are wondering how to create your own aphrodisiac in order to make a person want you, then you should try this simple blend: 8 drops of sandalwood, 2 drops of jasmine, and 1/3 of an ounce of carrier oil. Mix them all together and apply the blend on your neck, temples, behind your ears, or anywhere else where you feel comfortable applying it.

#8 Cramp relief blend

The next blend will come in handy to you if you have some cramps, or if you usually tend to have a lot of cramps. You will need 3 drops of lavender, 4 drops of cypress, and 5 drops of peppermint which you need to mix with some carrier oil. Apply the blend on this part of your body where you get the cramps. You could apply the blend on other parts of your body as well. And also do not forget to apply some of it on your hands and on your wrists to smell the sent as much as possible.
