How to Become an Early Riser

It is already well known that if a person wants to be organized, to be able to concentrate better and to make the most of their day, they need to wake up early in the morning and thus to go to bed early. Some people, however, find it very difficult to wake up early in the morning even if they go to bed early in general.

So, how to help your body get used to such kind of daily routine? There are a few things that will help you get used to waking up early and today we are going to show you which they are. It will take you some time to get used to them probably, but if you do not give up, the results will be visible quickly in some time.

#1 Do not hit the snooze button

I personally can say that this is the hardest thing for me to do – to wake up early without hitting the snooze button at least once and I believe there are a lot of other people who are like that. However, this is definitely not a good start of the day.

The other 5 or 10 minutes that you will continue sleeping after you press the snooze button will only irritate you. These extra minutes will not make your sleep better but the other way round even. You will become sleepier and more tired and that is one of the reasons you will continue finding it difficult to wake up early.

#2 Get up 10 minutes earlier

When you begin waking up without hitting the snooze button, you may also begin waking up 10 minutes, or 15 minutes, earlier. This way you will have time to enjoy the mornings better and you will also have some time to wake up completely without being in a hurry and thus getting irritated. You will begin your mornings in a relaxed way and you will be better prepared for your day at work.

#3 Do not use any pieces of technologies

If you want to wake up early, you need to go to bed early and not only this, but to get a real good night sleep at night. That is why it is best not to use any pieces of technologies before you go to sleep and after you wake up in the morning. The worst thing they will do to you is to irritate you and to take a lot of your time.

As you probably know, the artificial light from computers, television sets, and smart phones, irritate one’s eyes. This is why you may not have healthy sleep at night and in the morning to feel annoyed and sleepy.

And if you start using your phone or computer right after you wake up, your sleepy eyes will not only get irritated by the artificial light, but you are very likely to lose track of time and to spend your free time doing nothing productive. It would be much better if you spend a couple of minutes on the balcony breathing some fresh air. This way you will be not feel as sleepy as usual and you will definitely feel much energized.

#4 Put on makeup quickly

Another thing you should learn to do in the mornings if you do not want to waste your time but to optimize it completely is not to spend too much time on putting your makeup on. It would be best to apply your makeup for not more than 5 minutes in the morning, which means that you will need only basic makeup. Besides, there is no need to apply tons of makeup because it is still a daytime makeup and it should be much lighter than the night one.

You may skip applying eyeshadow, but if you must choose light natural colors, like beige and nude. But in general you may stick to some concealer, setting powder, lipstick, and most importantly – mascara. You can easily have perfect daytime makeup in less than 5 minutes using these makeup products.

#5 Tidy your bed

The next thing which you definitely need to do in the morning before you go out is to tidy your bed. It is also a good idea not to leave your room in a mess. When your room is clean and tidy, and specifically your bed, then you will leave your home feeling much better than if you have left your room in a mess.

If you do not believe this, you could try it yourselves and you will see the difference. And once you come back home from work and see your room spotless, you will also feel good about what you have done in the morning. It may sound as something simple but doing it every morning will turn you a much more organized and energized person than you are.
