How to Add More Volume to Your Hair

You don’t have to go to a beauty salon to get the perfect volume to your thin, fine hair. With a few products in hand and a couple of hairstyle tricks, you can easily master the way adding an extra volume and thickness to your hair! All you need for this tutorial is a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, blow dryer, styling cream, bobby pins, hair elastic, Velcro rollers, curling iron and a comb.

Step 1: The first effective trick to get the desired beautiful hairstyle is to wash your hair regularly with volumizing shampoo and then apply conditioner only to the ends. Then, apply styling cream or volumizing mouse when your hair is still moist. These products will not only add volume to your hair, but also shine and brilliance. Then, flip your head upside down and dry each section of your hair with a blow dryer. Massage your scalp with fingers to give extra volume at the roots.

Step 2: Secure all of your hair up in a quick bun. Leave the bun on top of your head for a few minutes to give enough time for your hair to cool. This will help in creating maximum volume!

Step 3: Once your hair has cooled, release the bun. Then, roll the top centre section of your hair in Velcro rollers and secure each with a bobby pin. For more volume and brilliance, roll each section of your hair backwards.

Step 4: Next, grab your curling iron and start curling the remaining hair. Divide your hair into small sections so it will be easier and quicker for you to add the curls. Wait for a couple of minutes before releasing the curl. Repeat the process with the next top section of your hair.

Step 5: Continue curling your hair all the way around and secure each curl with a bobby pin.

Step 6: Allow enough time for your hair to set before taking everything down.

Step 7: Starting from the bottom, gently take each roller and pin out. Flip your head and run fingers through your hair to gently break up some curls. This way your hairstyle will look more casual.

Step 8: Curl the top pieces and wrap each small section of your hair around the curling iron.

Step 9: After, tease the crown a little. Select what part of your hair needs more volume and hold it straight upward. Place your comb in the roots and apply firm brush strokes downward to the scalp. Use hairspray to secure the volume. Repeat the procedure with the next small sections of hair. You can add some additional hairspray all over your hairstyle to keep your curls and volume in place longer.
