There are different international cuisines that may appeal to a person no matter where they are from. One such cuisine is the Italian one. People from all over the world are in love with Italian pizzas and pasta recipes.
Lasagna is one of the traditional Italian dishes that one may easily like. Unfortunately, the recipes may contain a lot of calories which makes the dishes not ideal for those people who want to lose weight. Butthe dishes may appeal to your guests and family whenever you invite them home for dinner.
Today we have prepared for you a lasagna dish you may cook for some family gathering. Here is the recipe!
Homemade Lasagna Recipe
1 package of cooked lasagna
28 ounces of tomato sauce
15 ounces of ricotta
½ cup of parmesan
¼ cup of basil
4 cloves of garlic
¾ pound of ground beef
¾ pound Italian sausage
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
First you need to dice the onion and to chop the garlic cloves. Then get a deep pan and heat a tablespoon of olive oil in it. Add the onion and the garlic pieces. Mix them and cook them for a minute or so.
Then add the ground beef and the Italian sausage. Mix the ingredients together a little. Then season the mixture with the salt and the black pepper. Stir it well.
Continue cooking the mixture until it turns brown-greyish. After that you need to add the tomato sauce in the pan. Cook the mixture for a couple of minutes more by constantly stirring it. Then take the pan off the hotplate.
Now you need to leave the tomato mixture aside and get a clean bowl. Put in it the ricotta and then add the parmesan. After that you need to chop the basil and to add it into the same bowl. Finally add the egg and mix it all well. Be careful because the mixture will be a bit thick and not too easy to be stirred. When it is ready, you can move on to the next step.
Now you need to get a baking tin which should not be too big but a rather small one. Another thing that you need to have in mind is that it needs to be non-stick one. Then get a noodle of cooked lasagna and lay it on the bottom of the tin. Cover the whole bottom.
Then cover the whole lasagna bottom of the tin with grated parmesan. Then apply a row of tomato sauce mixture on top of the row of parmesan. After that place another row of cooked lasagna noodles on top of the tomato sauce row.
On top of it apple some of the ricotta and basil mixture. Add another row of lasagna noodles and another one of tomato mixture. You need to cover the lasagna with a last row of lasagna noodles. Lastly, you need to sprinkle a handful of parmesan on top of the lasagna.
When you are applying the mixtures of tomatoes and ricotta, make sure you divide it evenly and you spread it also evenly. This way the lasagna will not only taste great but look great as well.
The last thing you need to do is to cook the lasagna. Bake it in the oven for 45 minutes at 1900 C. When it is ready, remove the tin with the lasagna from the oven. It can be already be served. You can garnish it with some grated parmesan and chopped parsley.
