Here is What Healthy Eaters Order in Fast Food Restaurants

The place where you usually get burger and fries

No matter what we say, we all love them. Especially the fries. They are one of the guiltiest pleasures of the world. And although people try to resent them, they often order them. Other than that people like burgers too. Research has proven that they are addictive. So if you can’t lay your hands of your favorite burger every day – try to change that.

  • AVOID

    There are things you should never order in a fast food restaurant if you really care about yourself. One of those things is a large bundle menu. This means that you are ordering a burger, large portion of fries and a soda. All of the above are full on calories.

    The veggie burger you think are so healthy – not at all! It has added sodium, which is one of the worst things for your stomach.

  • GO FOR

    Since most of the things you love at those type of places are bad for you, swap them for something else. If you though can’t keep your hands off of a burger than you should get one. But be careful of what is in it. The best options for a healthy version of a burger are lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. It is preferable to skip the topping. Then if you want avocado and cheese, just pick one of those, because you can’t have it all you know!

The place you have Mexican food

Mexican food is something from heaven. It is yummy and there are thousands of options when it comes to it. Although it is one of my favorite types of kitchen there is one thing I have in mind – it is not the healthiest. Or at least not everything in the menu is. So you must be careful what your order is.

  • AVOID

    One of the things that people love the most when they think of Mexican is the burrito. And they usually are so big, that probably you could eat it for a week. So try not to eat things that are gigantic. It has way too many unhealthy calories. And while we are on that topic – absolutely the same thing applies to quesadias and enchiladas. I know they are heaven, but they are not doing any justice for your figure or health.

  • GO FOR

    Although it might not be the healthiest restaurant ever, who can live without some Mexican. One of your best bets is to order a burrito bowl. This literally is a burrito, but without the bread. That way you have tree times less calories and enjoy the so delicious insides of a burrito. If you though can’t go anymore without your taco – go for the soft type, that is made on a grill. This way you avoid eating something that is prepared in way too much oil. Other than that I would order grilled fish with vegetables on the sides. The fish is cooked very deliciously with traditional herbs, but doesn’t have million calories.

The Chinese place that saves the day

Chinese can be very delicious and addictive for that matter. There are thousands of options with and without meat. But the main downside – it is all fried. And that is not something you should be putting in your meal plan. Once you though try and find your favorite dish at a Chinese place, you never go back. So there is a real struggle when it comes to saying ‘No’.

  • AVOID

    One of your worst enemies in a Chinese restaurant is the fried Kung Pao chicken. Although it is the favorite thing for anyone who eats meat, it is not the favorite for any doctor or dietitian. There are more than 1,600 calories per portion and that is an intake for three days, not part of a meal.

  • GO FOR

    Anything you see in that menu can be made in a healthier way if you ask for it. Although it really won’t be as delicious, it will be still good and it won’t put on extra weight on your body. For example you can always order steamed vegetables, rather than fried. The calories are almost none. And if you want to go further with it try to combine them with brown rice, rather than white. Then to keep the authentic Chinese taste ask for sauce with it. It is calories, but they won’t be as much. And if you are into meat go for something grilled or steamed, because any meat that is fried is like a sponge and it takes in all of the awful oils, that your stomach doesn’t need.
