¼ cup of water
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
3 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
1 teaspoon of sriracha

Step 1

First you need to get the chicken breasts and to cut them in halves vertically. Then cut the halves again in halves vertically and then horizontally to make the pieces as big as a bite or two. Do the same with the rest of the chicken breasts.

Step 2

Then you need to get a slow cooker and to put all the chicken breast pieces into it. Season them with some black pepper to your taste and make sure you season them evenly. Then add the soy sauce, the honey, and the tomato paste into the slow cooker and stir them a little.

Then you need to get the garlic cloves and to chop them thinly. Add them into the cooker as well. After that add the stricha, the ground ginger, the sesame oil, and the rice vinegar. Mix all the ingredients in the cooker well. Put the lid on it and cook the dish for 2 hours on slow temperature.

Step 3

After the two hours have passed, take the lid off the pot and take all the chicken pieces from it, leaving the sauce still inside. Then get a ¼ of water and mix it with the cornstarch. Stir them well until you get a homogeneous mixture.

And then add the cornstarch mix into the slow cooker with the sauce. Stir them well and put the lid back on. Cook the mixture for 15 minutes. While you are waiting for it to get ready, you may do the next step as well.

Step 4

You need to heat some water in a pot and when it starts boiling put on a strainer on top of it, without touching the water, and put the broccoli into the strainer. Steam the broccoli for 8 to 10 minutes. And then remove them from the hotplate.

Step 5

By this time the sauce with the cornstarch should be ready. Take the lid off it and put back the chicken breast pieces into the slow cooker. Mix them well with the sauce. And then the dish would be ready.
