Great Travel Destinations for Animal Lovers

 

If you are wondering where to go on vacation, then you need to ask yourself first what you want to do when you go on vacation. Do you want to relax, or you want to go on adventure to escape from your ordinary life?

Learning about new cultures and countries is really valuable when you go on vacation, however, one still needs to turn their attention to the natures around. Nature is so beautiful that it is often worth visiting places only because of it.

Today we have prepared for you some travel destinations that are absolutely worth visiting if you love one of nature’s creations – animals. Here are some places to visit for all of you who are animal lovers.

#1 Go to Retriever Festival, Scotland

If you are a real dogs’ fan, and especially golden retriever’s one, then you would surely be glad to visit the annual retriever festival in Invernesshire in Scotland. You will have the opportunity to see more than 200 beautiful retrievers and their owners. The festival takes place every July, so have it in mind.

#2 Volunteer for Protected Pandas in Lougantai, Zhouzhi

If you have really wanted to see pandas and to be with them as much as possible, then you may go to China and watch these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. If you are a real panda lover, then you may even consider working as a volunteer for Protect Pandas in Lougantai. You could spend from 2 to 4 weeks taking care of pandas and enjoying their company.

#3 Bunnies everywhere, Japan

If you really like bunnies and you want to see bunnies everywhere you go to, then you should go to Ōkunoshima, Japan. This is an island in Japan and it is considered to be the vacation spot of the Easter Bunny. Of course, this is a joke, but there are so many bunnies there that some people like this joke. Hunting is forbidden on the island and, of course, you are not allowed to take any bunnies from the island or hurt them. You can just go there and enjoy their company.

#4 Go Platypus Watching in Australia

If you have never seen one of the rarest animals in the world, platypus, then you can do it if you go to Victoria, Australia. This animal is extremely interesting. It looks like a duck, or at least it has such a beak, but it also has fur and lies eggs despite the fact that it is a mammal. It may sound a bit confusing, but this is actually the beauty of nature.

If you are already interested in these lovely creatures, then visit them in their natural habitat in Australia, and more specifically, Lake Elizabeth. And since we are in Australia, I suggest taking a look at another interesting animal here.

#5 Go Whale Watching, Australia

There actually a few places you can go whale watching and one of them is Australia. There are two times in the year that are best for whale watching in this part of the world and these are mid-May and early December. There is a specially company that organizes such kind of activities. And the best part is that you will not have to go underwater to watch them. They jump above the water so you will have the opportunity to really enjoy their beauty.

#6 Go to a Safari in Africa

What better place to go to if you are an animal-lover, than Africa?! This continent is really blessed with amazing animal species that are only found there, of course, speaking about their natural habitat. If you want to visit animals, like giraffes, elephants, zebras, and even lions, then you should definitely go to a safari in Africa. You only need to make sure you are well-prepared for the journey.

#7 Watch wild horses in their natural habitat

Horses are considered to be one of the loveliest and most gentle animals in the world. There are a lot of people who really like them and would want to see some wild horses in their natural habitat. There are places in Nevada and Nova Scotia in the USA where you can really see wild horses, or you can go to Asia and particularly in Mongolia and Kazakhstan
