Five Strand Dutch Braid Made Easy

Are you ready for an amazing Dutch braid tutorial? Brace yourself – the five strand braid bun is here! This tutorial will explain how to get the look in 12 easy steps. So, get a mirror and start this lovely hairstyle transformation!

Step 1: Brush your hair backwards. Ensure there are no knots or tangles left behind!

Step 2: Pick up a medium section at the top, gliding your fingers from the temples to the back to gather the hair pieces.

Step 3: Place your fingers and glide them backwards through that section to hold it tightly.

Step 4: If you used your right hand in the step above, you will start weaving from your left side. Take the ring finger of your left hand and place it under the second strand and over the third strand.

Step 5: Place your middle finger over both the second and third strand. Refer to the pictures in this tutorial for clear guidance if you get confused at some point.

Step 6: The middle finger joins the ring finger and you grab those sections in your fist.

Step 7: Take your index finger and place it under these strands.

Step 8: Tighten the braid as you go to ensure that any loose pieces will not come out of it unexpectedly.

Step 9: Add in new hair from the right side to the strands.

Step 10: Repeat this process downwards and tighten the braid as you go.

Step 11: When you run out of hair to add in to the braid, you can continue with the same braiding technique without adding in new hair. Secure the braid with a clear rubber band at the end.

Step 12: If you wish, you may create a lovely bun and secure it with bobby pins for a more feminine and classy look.
