We all know that sometimes there is just not enough time for cooking. You come home late and you just want to relax and do no cooking at all. A lot of people order food, others go out for dinner, but you could hardly do this every day, because having dinner in a restaurant costs more money than cooking.
That is why we have come up with a solution. You can have dinner at home without spending a fortune on it. The trick is to choose something that could be made quickly and to be as delicious as any of the meals you could have in a restaurant. Check out our suggestions!
Ham and mushrooms stuffed bread
This recipe is for those of you who are not on diet. Beware, because you are going to fall in love with it. Another thing which is great about it is that you do not need a lot of ingredients to do it. Here is what you need to do:
50 grams cooked mushrooms
40 grams cheddar cheese
ham to taste (and space)
120 grams cream cheese
2 tablespoons of sour cream (if you prefer you could use only sour cream instead of the cream cheese)
2 smashed garlic cloves
some pepper and oregano to taste
First you need to mix in a container the cheddar cheese and the cooked mushrooms which also need to be chopped. Then add into the mixture the cream cheese and the sour cream. Mix them well. Finally, add the smashed garlic cloves and season it with pepper. There will be no need to add salt, because the rest of the ingredients are salty enough. Leave the stuffing to the side and get the baguette.
Remove the upper crust of the baguette and remove the inner part of it. This way you will make room for the stuffing. Once you are ready with hollowing out the baguette, fill it with the mushroom stuffing. Then add on top as much chopped ham as you want. Finally, cover the baguette with cheese.
Sprinkle the baguette with oregano and bake it in the oven at 180 0C for about 15 minutes. By the end of this time the cheese will have melted and you will be able to see some goldish crust on top. Then remove it from the oven and serve it. If you have guests, you could sprinkle the baguette with some fresh parsley, but this is optional.
The next recipe we are going to tell you about is fast pizza and it is even faster to do than the previous one. Sometimes you may want to have homemade pizza, but it takes fairly long to do it. So, you could try with this fast pizza recipe. Here is what you will need to do:
Ingredients for 4 portions:
4 toasts of bread
4 big pieces of ham
8 pieces of tomatoes
First, you need to apply some of the tomato sauce on each toast of bread. Be careful not to add too much. About 2 tablespoons of a toast is enough.
Then line down the pieces of ham, one piece for each piece of bread. Then put two pieces of tomatoes on each toast of bread. You could add some salt, because the tomatoes will be a little bland. You could also add any other spices, like black pepper or some rosemary. Whatever you want.
Finally, add the grated cheese on top of each piece of bread. Make sure the cheese covers it completely. Then bake the toasts in an oven for about 10-15 minutes at 180 0C. The cheese needs to melt and all the ingredients to mix tastes.
And your dinner is ready!
