Smokey eyes are very sexy and instantly add an allure to your look, but they aren’t always the friendliest for a workplace environment or for everyday purposes. Most often than not, the reason why so many of us avoid a smoky eye during the day is because we are applying way too much black eyeshadow that it overpowers our face. However, with the right amount of dark shadow, the look can transform you without looking like you are destined to be a go-go dancer.
Step 1: To highlight your brow bone, use a soft white or cream colour directly under the eyebrow along the arch.
Step 2: Sweep a transparent base colour back and forth across your eyelid.
Step 3: Apply brown eyeshadow just below your crease line and blend it afterwards. A makeup blending brush allows you to properly blend the eyeshadow on your face, giving you a more natural smoky effect.
Step 4: Connect it with the upper lash line by distributing the brown colour downwards.
Step 5: Then, go over the edges of your shadow so there are no harsh lines or edges created by the shadow. Apply the color across your eyelid in a windshield-wiper motion for intense color.
Step 6: Use a very thin makeup brush to outline your upper lash line with a delicate eyeshadow colour. You may sweep the blending brush back and forth to create a gradual effect.
Step 7: Use the same brush to outline your waterline as well.
Step 8: For more subtle and natural looking makeup, apply just a small amount of your bronze shadow to the inner corner of your lid.
Step 9: Curling your eyelashes will help open up your eyes and give the illusion of longer, more fabulous eyelashes!
Step 10: To wrap up the smoky eye look, apply several coats of your favourite long-lasting mascara.
Step 11: Its formula should lengthens, curls, lifts and separates lashes for a final, more spectacular look!
