Easy Swirl Nail Art Design

Easy Swirl Nail Art Design

Prabal Gurung, the famous New York fashion designer, says that ‘Nails are the period at the end of the sentence. They complete the look.’ We couldn’t agree more with him. This is why this step-by-step tutorial will show you an easy way to create swirl nail art design in just a few minutes. If you are planning on going out tonight, this amazing nail art design will be the perfect finish to any outfit.

Step 1: Apply two to three coats of white nail polish on all of your nails. Wait for the layers to dry out completely before proceeding. The colour of the base nail polish depends entirely on you, but it is better if you match the colour of your nail art design with the colour of your favourite dress you are about to wear.

Step 2: Using a black nail polish, create a small dot right in the centre of your nail as guidance for your swirl manicure.

Step 3: Starting from the dot you’ve just created, gently apply a line towards the corner of your nail. You may want to use a thin paint brush, rather than the brush supplied with the black polish. This way your line will be precisely thin.

Step 4: As shown on the picture, apply another black line on the right side of the dot.

Step 5: Apply a third line downwards your nail. Since you want to achieve a swirl effect, make sure your lines are a bit curved, not straight.

Step 6: Add black lines inside the gaps you’ve created with the previous lines.

Step 7: Following the same technique, continue adding more lines with the black nail polish until you have covered the entire nail with lines. You don’t need to do the swirl effect on all of your nails. For instance, you may paint your index and pinky nails in black without adding any decoration. This way your manicure will look classier and more elegant.

Step 8: When you are finally ready, apply a topcoat to all of your nails to protect your unique manicure from chipping, smudging or cracking. Your nail art is ready! Don’t forget to take a picture with your fabulous manicure!
