Delicious Spaghetti Recipes to Try This Summer

 

All we know that in the summer people in general do not have hardy appetite. This is mostly because of the heats. People often prefer to grab something to drink instead of having a meal. That is why the meals we eat in the summer are not as caloric as the ones in the winter, for example.

But this should not mean that we need to forget about our favorite kinds of foods. On the contrary, we could still eat them, but just a lighter kind of version. And since we simply adore spaghetti, we have decided to show you two spaghetti recipes that are perfect for the summer heats – much lighter and still very delicious. Check them out!

Red wine spaghetti

The first recipe includes red wine. It surely is not the best drink for the summer, but when it comes to cooking, you are perfectly allowed to use it.

Ingredients:

1 package of spaghetti
4 cups of water
3 cups of red wine
¼ cup of fresh parsley
½ cup of parmesan
4 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of butter
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1
First, you need to get a cooking pot. Mix in it the water and the red wine. Then bring them to boil. When this happens, add the package of spaghetti, but be careful not to break them. Patiently wait for them to get softer and then stir them carefully. Boil them for at least 8 minutes.

The time depends on the kind of spaghetti, but it would take you probably not more than 10 minutes. After that remove the pot from the hot plate. And get a cup and fill ¼ of it with the red wine mixture. You will need it in a minute.

Step 2
Get another pot and heat the olive oil in it. Then add the garlic cloves which need to be nicely chopped before you add them. Cook them for a couple of minutes and after that add the ¼ cup of wine mixture to the pot. Bring it to boil and stir well.

Step 3
Now you need to add the spaghetti into the mixture. Stir them a little and then add the butter and stir everything well. In fact, you could not use olive oil, but only butter if you want to make the dish even less caloric. Just melt the butter instead of the olive oil and fry the garlic cloves in it.

Step 4
When the butter has melted, you can remove the spaghetti from the pot. Right after that, while they are still hot, add the parmesan so it melts a little. Serve them while they are still warm and garnish them with the fresh parsley.

Fresh spaghetti

The next recipe is very easy and fast, so you can do it even if you are tired and not in the mood of cooking. Here is what you will need:

Ingredients:

1 package of spaghetti
1 liter of water
Lettuce
1 tomato
1 cup of ham
1 cup of parmesan
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1
First, you need to get a cooking pot and pour the water in it. Boil it and add some salt after that. Then add the spaghetti into the boiling water. Cook them for about 10 minutes or until you are absolutely sure that they are nicely cooked. When they are ready remove them from the pot.

Step 2
While the spaghetti are still hot, sprinkle the grated parmesan on top and mix them carefully. Then wash the lettuce and the tomato and cut them into medium pieces. Cut the ham into small pieces after that.

Step 3
Then add them into the spaghetti and mix them well. Season the spaghetti with salt and pepper and if you want with other spices.
