Delicious Fish Recipes to Try for Lunch This Week

There are a lot of people who know that fish is healthy but they rarely forget to cook it or to order it when they eat out. Fish is not only delicious and healthy, but even vegetarians can have it, and also people who are fasting.

That is why it would be a good idea to know how to cook at least a couple of fish recipes. Today we have prepared such ones for you. Try them and enjoy your lunch!

 

Tilapia with avocado cream

For this recipe you need to use tilapia, but if you do not like it, you could use another kind of fish instead. Here is how you need to prepare the recipe.

 

Ingredients:

2 tilapia fillets

1 tablespoon of lime juice

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of chili powder

1 teaspoon of cumin

1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

½ teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of black pepper

 

For the avocado sauce:

1 avocado

¼ cup of yogurt

½ cup chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon of lime juice

½ teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of black pepper

 

Directions:

 

Step 1

First, you need to get a bowl and to pour in it the chili powder. Then add the cumin, the cayenne pepper, the ½ teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper. Mix them a little and then pour the olive oil and the lime juice in the bowl as well. Mix the ingredients in the bowl well until you have something like a spicy sauce. You will need it for the fish.

 

Step 2

Now get the fish fillets and apply the spicy sauce on them using a cooking brush. You need to apply the sauce on each side of the fish fillets. Then get a baking tin and line it with baking paper.

Put the fish fillets in it and then bake them for 20 minutes at 200 0C. There is no need to flip them halfway through, but you can do it if you want to make sure the fish fillets are evenly baked. When they are baked, get the tin out of the oven. Meanwhile you need to prepare the avocado sauce for the fillets.

 

Step 3

To prepare the avocado sauce, you will need a blender. Get the avocado and cut it into halves vertically. Remove the stone and scrape the flesh of the avocado. Put it into the blender and add the yogurt as well. Add the chopped cilantro and the salt and pepper. Finally add the lime juice. Blend everything well until it turns into paste/sauce.

 

Step 4

And now all you have to do is to serve the tilapia fillets. Apply a spoonful of the avocado sauce on top of each of the fillets. You could sprinkle also some fresh cilantro on top if you like. Serve the fillets garnished with some salad, like green salad, or Greek salad even.

And your meal is ready!

 

Lemony Spicy Salmon

 

Ingredients:

4 salmon fillets

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

2 tablespoons of olive oil

2 cloves of minced garlic

1 tablespoon of onion powder

1 teaspoon of mustard

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

4 round pieces of lemon

200 grams of asparagus

2 cups of zucchini

1 cup of cherry tomatoes

 

Directions:
Step 1

First you need to prepare the sauce for the salmon. Get a bowl and pour in it the lemon juice. Mix it with the minced garlic cloves and the onion powder. Then add the mustard and add some salt and black pepper to taste but not more than one teaspoon of each. Then mix the ingredients well until the salt has dissolved into the liquid.

 

Step 2

Now you need to get a baking tin and line it with aluminum foil. Put the 4 salmon fillets on the center of it. Then get the lemon juice sauce you have prepared in the previous step and apply it on the top part of the salmon fillets using a cooking brush. Apply the whole of the sauce on the fish.
Step 3

Put the 4 round pieces of lemon on each one of the salmon fillets. Then wash the asparagus and add them in the tin, next to the salmon.

Wash the zucchini and cut them into pieces if you have not already. And then add then on the other side of the tin, next to the salmon.

Season the zucchini and the asparagus with the olive oil. You can season them with some salt and black pepper to taste as well. You can mix the zucchini a little to make sure they are seasoned well and completely.

 

Step 4

Bake the dish for 15 minutes at 200 0C. When the time is up, remove the tin from the oven and serve the dish garnished with some baked asparaguses and zucchini. Add some of the fresh cherry tomatoes as well. You can decorate the plate the way you want, use your imagination.
