Delicious Chicken Wings Recipes for Healthy Eaters

 

There are a lot of people who like chicken wings but avoid having them because the recipes for chicken wings usually involve frying and as we all know frying is definitely not a healthy way of cooking. That is why people who like chicken wings avoid having them.

But does one really need to give up having their favorite food, or something may be done about it? Instead of forgetting completely about chicken wings, why do not you bake them instead of frying them? This way they will still be delicious and much healthier. So, here are a couple of chicken wings recipes which require no frying at all!

#1 Italian Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

2 pounds of chicken wings
1/3 cup of parmesan cheese
¼ cup of fresh parsley
4 cloves of garlic
¼ cup of olive oil
1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon of cumin
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper

Directions:

Step 1

First you need to get the chicken wings and to wash them. Then drain them and put them in a big bowl. Season them first with the salt and pepper and then add the Italian seasoning and the cumin. After that you need to mix the chicken wings well so they become equally seasoned.

Step 2

Then you need to get a baking tin and to put a piece of aluminum foil on the bottom of it. Then put the chicken wings on the foil with some space between them.

Put the tin in the oven and bake the chicken wings for 20 minutes at 1500 C. When this time passes, increase the temperature at 2200 C and continue baking the wings for 15 more minutes. When this time passes, take the tin out of the oven.

Step 3

While you are waiting for the wings to be done, you can prepare the next part of the recipe. You need to get a bowl and put in it the parmesan cheese. Then mince the garlic cloves and add them into the bowl with the cheese.

After that you need to pour the olive oil and the fresh parsley which you need to chop nicely before you put it in the bowl. Then simply mix all of the ingredients in the bowl well.

Step 4

When the chicken wings are already baked, put them all in the bowl with the parmesan mixture and mix them in it. You need to make sure all the mixture is evenly spread on the chicken wings. Then they would be ready to be served. The recipe is a great treat for unexpected guests that have come round to visit you.

#2 Honey BBQ Wings

Ingredients:

2 pounds of chicken wings
1 cup of barbeque sauce
½ cup of honey
1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper

Directions:

Step 1

First you need to prepare the bread for the chicken wings. You will need a bowl. Pour in it the flour, then add the salt, the black pepper, the paprika, the chili powder and the garlic powder. Mix them all well so it becomes a homogeneous mixture.

Then you need to put each chicken wing into the bowl with the breading and to roll them well into the breading so all of it is covered.

Step 2

After that you need to get a baking tin and to put a sheet of baking paper on the bottom of it. You can also spray some olive oil on top of the paper. Then put the chicken wings with breading on top of the baking tin leaving some space between each one of them.

Once this is ready you need to put the tin in the oven. Bake it at 2200 C for 45 minutes flipping the chicken wings halfway through to bake them nicely on the other side as well. When they are ready, remove the tin from the oven.

Step 3

Now you need to get a bowl and to pour in it the barbeque sauce. Add into it the honey and mix it well with the sauce. Then Put all the chicken wings into this bowl and roll them into the BBQ-honey mixture.

After all the wings are nicely rolled, put them back into the same baking tin to bake them a little more in the oven. Do it for 8-10 more minutes at 2600 C. When the time is up, take the tin out of the oven.

You can serve the wings garnished with some fresh green salad. Enjoy!
