Delicious Breakfast Recipes to Try This Week

 

People say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it gives one energy to cope with their busy morning and to feel energized and fresh.

Unfortunately, a lot of people forget about having breakfast either because they are too busy to do it, or because they do not have appetite in the morning. If one has delicious breakfasts every morning, then they will be willing to have it and will not forget about it.

Today we have prepared for you a couple of breakfast recipes to try this week on your own. They will help you fall in love with delicious breakfasts once again. So, here are the recipes we have prepared for you!

#1 Sweet French toast with berries

Ingredients:

4 eggs
4 slices of bread
2 cups of mixed berries
1/3 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Directions:

Step 1

First you need to get a bowl and break in it the eggs, with bot the yolks and the egg whites. Then add in the bowl the cup of milk, the tablespoon of vanilla, and the cinnamon. Get a wooden spoon and mix the ingredients well until it all turns into a homogeneous mixture.

Step 2

Now get a pan and heat some cooking oil in it. Get a slice of bread and dip it into the bowl with the egg mixture. Make sure you cover both sides of the slice with the mixture. Then, after the pan is well heated, fry the toast on each side until it turns brownish. Do the same with the rest of the slices of bread.

Step 3

Now you need to get a deep pot and heat it on the hotplate. Put in it the cups of mixed berries, you can use any type of berries, like blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Then add the sugar and the lemon juice.

Mix the berries well until all the sugar has dissolved. Continue cooking the mixture a couple of minutes after it starts boiling and stir it occasionally from time to time. You will make something like jam for the toast. Then take the pot off the hotplate.

Step 4

Then put a toast in a plate and spread some of the berry jam on it. Put another toast over the first one and spread some more of the jam. You can do two portions with two toasts. You can also add a couple of fresh berries on top of the last toast of the pile.

And this is it! Breakfast is served!

#2 Frittata

Ingredients:

4 bacon strips
1 cup of onion
4 cups of spinach
1 cup of tomatoes
½ cup of cheese
6 eggs
½ cup of heavy cream
1 teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of black pepper

Directions:

Step 1

First you need to get a big bowl. Break the 6 eggs in it. Then add the heavy milk and season them with the salt and black pepper. Whisk all the ingredients in the bowl well. After it becomes a homogeneous mixture you need to put it in the fridge.

Step 2

Now cut the bacon strips in pieces. Get a pan and heat it. Put the strips in it and start frying them without adding any oil. The bacon contains fat and once it starts melting will serve as cooking oil.

Stir the pieces occasionally. When they are fried, remove them from the pan but keep the pan with the melted bacon fat on the hotplate.

Step 3

Now chop the onion and add it into the pan with the heated bacon fat. Cook it by stirring it often. When the onion turns brownish-golden add the tomatoes, which you need to cut into small pieces beforehand. Then wash the spinach leaves and add them into the pan. Stir the ingredients a little.

Step 4

After the spinach leaves have shrunk a little, you need to add the cooked bacon pieces into the pan and to mix them with the rest of the ingredients. Finally you need to get the egg mixture from the fridge and pour it into the pan with the rest of the ingredients. Right after that add the half cup of cheese. Stir the ingredients a little to distribute them evenly in the mixture.

Step 5

Now take the pan off the hotplate and put it in the oven. Bake the dish for 15 minutes at 1800 C. When the time is up, remove the pan from the oven. Let it cool down for some time and then you can cut it into pieces and serve it.
