Delicious and Quick Recipes with Meatballs

 

Have you even been hungry but had no idea what exactly you wanted to have? Or have you been so hungry that you did not want to wait even a couple of minutes? It has happened to me a lot of times and that is why I prefer cooking quick and easy meals than spending a lot of time cooking.

Today we have prepared for you such recipes. The main ingredient they both consist of is meat balls. So, if you have any ground beef left and you do not know what to do with it, or if you have some cooked meatballs left over from a previous meal, then you could try these two recipes.

#1 Meatball noodles

Ingredients:

4 cups of noodles
2 cups of beef broth
2 cups of milk
½ tablespoon of salt
½ teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 cup of parmesan
½ cup of parsley

For the meatballs:
1 pound of ground beef
1 egg
½ cup of breadcrumbs
½ cup of minced onion
½ tablespoon of salt
½ tablespoon of pepper

Directions:

Step 1

First, you need to cook the meatballs. You will need a big bowl. Put in it the ground beef and season it with the salt and the pepper. Then add the breadcrumbs and the minced onion. Mix the ingredients well and then add the egg. Mix them well once again. You need to have meatball mixture so make sure the ingredients are mixed well.

Step 2

When the meatball mixture is ready you need to make all of it into balls which need to be half the size of a handful-big balls. When the balls are made, heat some olive oil in a deep pan and let it heat. Then add the meatballs but do not let them overlap. Cook them for 1 minute and then flip them over to stir-fry them on the other side. Fry them for one more minute.

Step3

Check ifthe meatballs have turned a little brownish and if they have, then add the cups of beef broth. Then add the milk, the salt, the pepper and the Worcestershire sauce, and only then you could stir the ingredients a little. Then bring the mixture to boil and stir it occasionally. A couple of minutes after the meal has started boiling you need to add the noodles. And then mix all the ingredients well once again.

Step 4

Continue cooking the meal until most of the water evaporates and there is only thick sauce. It would take about 5 more minutes. Then add the parmesan and the parsley and mix them with the rest of the ingredients. In a minute remove the pan from the hot plate. Serve the dish warm and you may also add some fresh parsley to garnish it with.

And voila, the meatball noodles are ready!

#2 Meatball bake

For the next recipe you will need cooked meatballs. If you do not have any which are left over from some other dish, you may cook them following the recipe above.

Ingredients:

1 loaf of French bread
20 meatballs
2 cups of mozzarella
2 cups of marinara sauce
1 cup of parmesan

Directions:

Step 1

First you need to cut the loaf of bread in half horizontally. Then cut each one in cubes. You can do this by cutting each half of the bread vertically this time in pieces which are about 2-4 cm long. Then cut each piece into halves one more time and you will have cubes.

Step 2

Get a cooking tin and put the bread pieces in it, spreading it equally on the bottom of it. Then add one cup of marinara sauce on top of the bread pieces spreading it equally as well. Mix the bread and the sauce carefully together. Then add one cup of mozzarella on top of the ingredients in the tin.

Step 3

Now add the meatballs in between the bread pieces. Put on top of them the other cup of marinara sauce and the other cup of mozzarella. Finally sprinkle the parmesan on top of the rest of the ingredients.

Step 4

Finally you need to bake the dish. Bake it for about 20 minutes at 175 0C. When the time runs out, get the tin out of the oven. Cut the dish into pieces and serve them while they are still hot. And your dish is ready!
