It is the holiday season and what most young people do is to go partying, except from being with their families and eating. However, if we have to be honest, the party may be fun, but the next day will not be. Even if you do not get drunk, the loud music and the lack of sleep will leave their mark on you. You can have a headache, feel sleepy and tired. In other words, you will not feel pretty at all.

There are some other cases when a woman does not care about the way she looks, because she is not in the mood. This often happens when she is sick, or suffering a breakup. In fact, you can look beautiful in times when you do not care about your appearance. This can also make you feel better. And that is why we have decided to share with you some ideas about staying beautiful while not feeling this way.

#1 Staying beautiful after a sleepless night

When you have not slept all night or only a couple of hours in the night, you will definitely look tired and sleepy the next day. One of the first thoughts that will come to your mind is to cover the dark circles and the puffiness with makeup, but this should not be the first thing to do. When you wake up, do not stay too long in bed, but have a cold shower instead. If you do not have enough time to wash your hair, do not do it, but wash only your body. The cold water will have a refreshing effect on you and your skin especially.

If your eyes are puffy because of the lack of sleep, here is a little trick that will soothe the puffiness and make you feel awaken – use spoons. Put two spoons in the freezer for a couple of minutes, and then apply them on or under your eyes. The shape of the spoon and the cold touch will make the puffiness go away and you will definitely look better.

When you are ready with the preparations, it is time for the makeup. It is important to remember that you need to have fresh and natural makeup after a sleepless night, because dark and strong one will work against you. First apply moisturizer on your face. It could be some kind of face cream or essential oil, but keep your skin moisturized if you want to have a fresh look.

 

Then apply a light foundation. It should not be darker than your natural skin complexion. Try to choose a color that is as close as possible to your natural one or a little lighter one. This would give you a fresher look.

If you apply eyeshadows, stay with the natural colors, like brown hues. Avoid applying colorful shades, and more importantly, be careful with the black. This includes also the eyeliner you apply. It should not be very thick, because it will look heavy on your eye, and it will definitely not hide the sleepiness as you can imagine.

#2 Hide dark circles

Dark circles, unfortunately, are some people’s constant companion throughout all of their lives. However, after a sleepless and tiring night they could be even bigger than expected, so it is very important to hide them as well.

You can begin with trying to naturally get rid of them. Almond oil is very popular with removing dark circles, because it has a lot of minerals and since it is quite oily, it moisturizes the skin well, which will help reducing their color and size.

Another remedy for dark circles you can try at home is baking soda. Just use baking soda. Make a solution of ½ cup of water and one tablespoon of baking soda. Mix them well and put the mixture in the fridge. Apply some of it on your dark circles with a cotton pad every day, even two times a day if possible and you will remove the dark circles.

If you do not have time to use these remedies, hide the darkness under your eyes with makeup. Concealers are one of the best makeup products that will help you in this task. First, you need to remember the right way to apply concealer. Many women think that concealer should be only applied on the darkness in a semi-circle shape, but this will only put stress on this place. The best way to apply the concealer is in a triangular shape, starting almost from the outer corners of your eyes up to the part under the dark circles. When you do this, you need to blend well the concealer and the foundation.

Another way to use makeup for hiding dark circles is to distract the attention from your eyes. Apply rouge on your cheekbones, and some powder on your chin and forehead, and apply lipstick in bold color. Do not make strong eye makeup and this would be enough.
