Step 1: Make sure you towel-dry hair after shampooing and before you applying conditioner. This is essential because the excess water in your hair means the conditioner will not be able to deliver the necessary moisture to keep hair looking healthy and shiny.
Step 2: On wet hair, spray leave-in conditioner so that you’re not ripping at your hair as you brush it out. Remember that it is always best to apply leave-in conditioner right out of the shower, before the hair starts to air dry. Make sure you invest in a few good quality conditioners and leave-in treatments or hair masks, especially if you have coloured hair.
Step 3: One possible reason why your hair is always so frizzy is that you always skip to use a diffuser when blow drying your hair.
Step 4: After you’ve blown your hair out about 60-70%, go back through and handle the tangles!
Step 5: Separate the top part of your hair and secure it on your crown with a hair clip.
Step 6: Change the nozzle on your hair dryer to a flat one. This setting allows you to seal the hair cuticles for a silky, shiny look, and helps to eliminate the frizz. With the help of your round brush, start drying each section individually. The most important thing here is to start brushing from the roots for added volume.
Step 7: Take the clip off the hair at the crown and start drying your hair toward the back.
Step 8: Using a bobby pin, part your hair the way you usually wear it. If you have a special comb you may use it for this step if it is easier for you to navigate your hair into place.
Step 9: Use a finishing spray of your choice.
Step 10: If you haven’t done this already, add a texturizing spray to your hair as it adds additional volume and natural shine.
