2 Delicious Chicken Recipes You Should Try This Week

A lot of people think that the best recipes in the world are the ones that are made with a lot of ingredients. The more the ingredients you use and the harder they are to find, the more delicious would be the recipe. Of course, this is not always true. Sometimes you can create magic using a few ingredients and just your imagination. To prove this, we have prepared for you a couple of chicken recipes, which are so delicious that would break any myths about difficult recipes being the only delicious ones.

Recipe #1 Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients:

8 chicken thighs

1 pound baby carrots

1 pound red potatoes

1 pound green beans

½ cup organic honey

½ cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic

1 teaspoon dried basil

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Some salt

 

Directions

Step 1

Get a container and mix in it the honey, the soy sauce, the garlic, the dried basil, the dried oregano, the black pepper, and the red pepper flakes. You can mix them with a simple cooking spoon, or a whisk if you will find it easier.

Step 2

Get 4 of the 8 chicken thighs and line them in a cooking tin. It is not necessary to be very deep, but it will be better if it is long. Once you line half of the chicken thighs in it, pour half of the soy marinade you have already prepared in Step 1 over them and make sure it is spread equally on each one of the thighs.

Step 3

Now put the baby potatoes over the thighs, then put the baby carrots, and on top of them line the rest of the chicken thighs. Dredge some salt on them. When this is ready, pour the other half of the soy marinade on top and cook for about 30 minutes.

Step 4

Once these 30 minutes are over, put the green beans in the container and cook the dish for a couple of more minutes, just so the beans become steamed. Then remove the tin from the heat and serve while it is still warm.

Recipe #2 Mini Chicken Pies

If you are one of the people who love eating meat and dough in one meal, you are going to like this recipe, since it includes both. Here is how to make mini chicken pies.

Ingredients:

1 package of puff pastry

2 cups of potatoes (about 2 potatoes)

2 cups of cooked chicken meat

2 tablespoons of flour

1 cup of peas

4 cups of chicken stock

1 cup of carrots

½ cup celery

1 cup of onion

2 tablespoons of butter

2 teaspoons of garlic powder

½ tablespoon of dried parsley

½ teaspoon of thyme

1 teaspoon of pepper

1 teaspoon of salt

 

Directions:

Step 1

Get a bit cooking pot and heat it on the stove. First put the butter and let it melt completely. Then add the carrots and stir it a little. Then add the onion, the celery, the salt and the pepper and again stir well. After that add the potatoes, the garlic powder, the thyme and the dried parsley and stir once more.

Step 2

Once you are ready with this you need to add the chicken stock. At this point the mixture will look like a soup. Add the chicken meat there and stir it well. Leave the mixture this way for a couple of minutes to boil.

Step 3

In another small container mix the flour and a couple of spoons of the soup-mixture. Once they are mixed well together it will look like a paste. Put it in the boiling soup and stir well again. Finally, add the peas and leave it to boil some more until it does not get thicker.

Step 4

Cut the puff pastry in circles. Put a tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each one. Seal it on top with another circle of pastry. And bake at 2050C for ½ hour.
